Kingdom of the Apes movie review: From A to Z

After finishing watching the movie, I’d like to give a review of “Kingdom of the Planet of the Apes.” I’ll base my review solely on emotions, without revealing any plot details.

I was very excited when I learned about the release date of the movie, as I had watched all the previous installments. After watching the trailer, I was very curious and eager to see the movie soon. And now that I’ve just finished watching it, I’ll review  Kingdom of the Planet of the Apes ” for you.

First of all, I have to commend the director for delivering another great work. The director of the film “Kingdom of the Planet of the Apes” is Matt Reeves. He also directed the sequel “War for the Planet of the Apes” (2017).

When evaluating the film “Kingdom of the Planet of the Apes,” I was quite surprised by the cast of this movie. “Kingdom of the Planet of the Apes” is a famous science fiction film released in 2014.

This is the sequel to the “Planet of the Apes” series and the third installment in this series. Below are some basic information about the film:

Release Date: “Kingdom of the Planet of the Apes” was released on July 11, 2014, in North America.

Allow me to summarize the plot as follows. For how interesting it is, I recommend you watch it directly. The film is set after the events of “Rise of the Planet of the Apes” (2011).

After watching the movie, I was very excited to write a review of “Kingdom of the Planet of the Apes.”

This time, I was pleasantly surprised by the cast. Everyone was excellent. When evaluating “Kingdom of the Planet of the Apes,” I will summarize the main actors:

  • Jason Clarke as Malcolm, a scientist trying to establish peace between humans and apes.
  • Gary Oldman as Dreyfus, a military leader surviving the devastation caused by the ALZ-113 virus.
  • Keri Russell as Ellie, a doctor, and Malcolm’s love interest.

  • “Conquest of the Planet of the Apes” (1972): The fourth installment, where apes rise to dominance and humans become slaves.
  • “Rise of the Planet of the Apes” (2011): The beginning of a new series, depicting the rise of intelligent apes.
  • Kingdom of the Planet of the Apes” (2014): The sequel focusing on the conflict between humans and apes.
  • “War for the Planet of the Apes” (2017): This installment continues the story of human-ape confrontation, with the appearance of a ruthless ape leader.
  • “Planet of the Apes: Battle for the Planet” (2021): This film continues the struggle between humans and apes, with the development of ape resistance.

Each installment adds depth to the overarching narrative of the franchise, making it an engaging and thought-provoking series.

To evaluate the film “Kingdom of the Planet of the Apes,” the film is typically rated PG-13 (Parental Guidance – 13 and over). This means the film is deemed suitable for audiences aged 13 and above.
